The Sleep Lab - In Your Bedroom

Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute have created a low-cost alternative to clinical sleep labs.
The monitoring instrument can be strapped to the sleep sufferer unassisted and in the privacy of their own home, according to the medGadget weblog.
The device monitors sleep and sends data via a Bluetooth connection to a base within the home. From there, the data is sent to the doctor’s office for diagnosis.
How does this change the future of diagnosing sleep disorders? More patients would likely get tested through a sleep study at home than in a sleep lab.
