Sleep Apnea and Depression
April 7, 2008 – If you are depressed…it may be because you are snoring.
A study released in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine indicated that there may be a link between depression and obstructive sleep apnea. The two conditions have been found to co-exist in patients studied by Dr. Daniel Schwartz at the University Community Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
The study was conducted over a course of six weeks. The patients with the symptoms of depression decreased with the treatment of a CPAP machine.
