New Limitations on CPAP Reimbursements

July 7, 2008 – In March of this year, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved the remimbursement of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices. In a recent decision, however, the CMS has proposed a new rule that prohibits the reimbursement if the supplier or its affiliate performed the diagnostic sleep test.
