We found another study that supports obesity and excessive sleepiness.
One of the most frequent complaints at health clinics is excessive daytime sleepiness. Couple that with obesity being a significant risk factor for excessive daytime sleepiness and you have the makings for solid research.
These researchers observed that sleep in lab mice increased as their weight increased and decreased as they lost weight leading to the assumption that weight gain is a cause of sleep alterations.
